About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking an experienced Software QA Analyst II to join their team in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The primary objective of this role is to contribute to a development team in producing valuable custom software products. This involves collaborating with users and team members on requirements gathering, creating training documentation, testing software to ensure requirements are met, and providing direction to QA I analysts. The Analyst will quickly learn and support the business operations of Turner Industries.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or better in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science or equivalent) may be required.
  • At least 3+ years of experience as an analyst and/or 3+ years' experience in a construction-related area.
  • Proficient in Tricentis Tosca, with AI capabilities preferred.
  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) – Will be provided.
  • Must rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Must learn Scrum and participate in a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to deal with face-to-face interactions with a wide variety of personalities.
  • A positive attitude, open mind, and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Familiarity with and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a development team daily, performing a variety of tasks under minimal supervision.
  • May be required to lead in testing or requirements gathering.
  • Understands, decomposes, and occasionally documents business processes as needed.
  • Contributes to the creation of documentation needed to build software.
  • Ensures functional requirements have been met by designing, developing, and maintaining test cases.
  • Performs skillful exploratory testing of applications.
  • Documents application issues, providing steps to fix detected issues.
  • Contributes to training and production implementation activities.
  • Compiles test data and defines desired results for testing software.
  • Provides training and direction to onboarding QA I analysts as needed.
  • Performs additional software testing assignments per supervisor's direction as needed.
