About The Position

Turner Industries is looking for an experienced Software Developer II to join their team in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The primary objective of this role is to develop enterprise-quality software solutions that are adaptable and expandable with minimal effort, while becoming proficient in Agile methodologies. The company is a fully diversified industrial contractor focused on providing innovative solutions to various industries, emphasizing safety, security, and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related area.
At least 2 to 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I).
Ability to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of complicated tasks, and lead and direct the work of others.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to deal with face-to-face interactions with a wide variety of personalities.
A positive attitude, open mind, and willingness to learn are essential.
Familiarity with AI development tools (specifically Gemini and Claude) and basic prompt engineering.
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc.
Working experience with .NET 5+, C#, ASP.NET Web API, JavaScript, at least one JavaScript framework and HTTPS.
Working experience of design principles such as S.O.L.I.D. and design patterns.
Working experience of application architecture.
Working knowledge of modern IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio 2026, VS Code) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Working experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework Core 5.0+.
Working experience with HTML5, CSS3.

Scrum is not a required prerequisite, but you will be required to learn Scrum and participate in a team.

Utilize AI-powered coding assistants and tools (specifically Gemini and Claude) to enhance productivity, code generation, and debugging.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
