Software Licensing Coordinator

About The Position

This position is responsible for fulfilling new software licensing requests, actively managing annual licensing periods for existing applications, and coordinating with departmental administration and IT asset management to maintain accurate licensing asset records. The role also serves as the departmental liaison for software requests in coordination with UF Software Licensing services, utilizing the UF Liaison Dashboard for licensing information. Additionally, the coordinator will arrange for the installation and activation of software applications with customers and support teams, and work with organizational leadership to optimize software licensing and deployment processes, identify and mitigate risks, and facilitate strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and four years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate of required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with the licensing, deployment and support of common administrative, educational and research (statistical analysis, reference management, etc.) applications.
  • Knowledge of service management, asset management and software management / deployment systems.
  • Experience with supporting enterprise environments (10,000+ devices) and/or supporting academic health centers / clinical care.
  • Strong customer-centric service orientation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Discretion, sound judgment, confidentiality, initiative, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills new software licensing requests submitted through the service management system.
