About The Position

AeroVironment is hiring a Software Integration Engineer to automate the installation, configuration, testing, and operational management of systems supporting metrics and monitoring. The role also designs, implements, verifies, and validates telemetry data-ingestion pipelines for HPC infrastructure, equipment, and services in a Linux environment. The engineer integrates, installs, configures, upgrades, compiles, and supports COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments; generates documentation for the full software stack; updates software for sustainment; executes test codes to characterize software performance; and provides software product ownership for HPC tools. The position requires basic Linux system administration and shell scripting, working knowledge of configuration-management tools, web documentation, and issue tracking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across architectural paradigms. The stated education and experience pathway is a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least eight years of demonstrable relevant experience. The posting also describes alternatives: five years of full-time, directly related Computer Science work may substitute for a degree, while still requiring at least eight years of demonstrable experience; an industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience, and a master's degree in Computer Science or a related field may substitute for two years of experience. The role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly. ITAR/EAR compliance requires documentation verifying U.S. person status, and some positions require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.
