About The Position

TAP Engineering is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support the integration, deployment, and operation of software across multi-vendor high-performance computing (HPC) servers, clusters, and specialized processing environments. You’ll work across operating systems, scheduling platforms, monitoring tools, and automation technologies to ensure software and systems work together reliably in a complex technical environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (most recent poly within the last 7 years)
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification
  • Experience working with Linux-based operating systems and shell scripting
  • Proficiency in Python and/or another scripting or programming language such as Perl or JavaScript
  • Experience supporting HPC, distributed computing, or parallel processing environments
  • Familiarity with HPC schedulers and resource management software, particularly Slurm
  • Working knowledge of configuration management and automation tools
  • Experience with system installation, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Lustre, InfiniBand, VMware, NVIDIA, Mellanox, or similar HPC platforms
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and system management tools
  • Understanding of GCC and software compilation
  • Strong analytical and structured troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, install, configure, and troubleshoot software across HPC systems and specialized computing environments
  • Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts and automation using Bash, Python, Perl, or JavaScript
  • Support Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and other Linux-based operating environments
  • Configure and troubleshoot HPC scheduling, resource management, and parallel processing environments
  • Support technologies including Slurm, Lustre, WEKA, VMware, InfiniBand, Mellanox, and NVIDIA platforms
  • Work with compilers, multi-threaded applications, and parallel processing technologies
  • Support system monitoring, logging, and performance analysis using tools such as Grafana, ELK, and Splunk
  • Apply configuration management and automation tools to maintain consistent system configurations
  • Perform structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across software and infrastructure components
  • Support system deployments, upgrades, and integration efforts
  • Collaborate with system, network, and software engineers to resolve integration and performance issues
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activities
