About The Position

Wyetech is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer (Level 3) to support automated software deployments, configuration management, infrastructure integration, and operational sustainment across complex High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. The role delivers secure, reliable, and efficient software deployments and coordinates complex configuration changes and software updates across production systems while meeting security, compliance, performance, and operational requirements. The engineer integrates, installs, configures, upgrades, compiles, and supports Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) software across heterogeneous operating system environments. The position also supports software product ownership for HPC tools, performance characterization, configuration management, technical documentation, and operational sustainment in alignment with mission requirements. As a Tier 3 technical escalation lead, the engineer works with Operations and Maintenance teams to diagnose complex software, deployment, and infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop automated remediation strategies. The role calls for strong Linux administration, Ansible automation, and Python development skills, along with experience in Kubernetes, Helm, containerization, and DevOps/GitOps practices. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and be U.S. citizens. Candidates must qualify through one of two education and experience paths: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus at least eight years of demonstrable relevant software integration experience; or five years of full-time, directly related Computer Science work experience substituting for the bachelor's degree, in addition to at least eight years of demonstrable relevant software integration experience. An applicable industry-recognized certification may substitute for one year of required experience, and a relevant master's degree may substitute for two years of required experience. The listed hourly pay range is $82.14–$111.23. Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
U.S. citizenship.
Experience using the Linux command-line interface and Linux administration and troubleshooting tools.
Experience applying Infrastructure as Code principles and developing infrastructure automation with Ansible.
Experience developing Python software, including custom Ansible modules.
Experience with Docker, containerd, and Podman.
Experience creating, deploying, and maintaining Helm charts for applications and services in Kubernetes environments.
Experience applying DevOps and GitOps practices to software integration, configuration management, and deployment.
Experience creating release candidates, maintaining software delivery pipelines, and troubleshooting deployment and integration failures.
Working knowledge of Git, including source control, branching strategies, tagging, and release management.
Experience producing technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting runbooks, system configuration procedures, and architectural diagrams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least eight years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments; alternatively, five years of full-time, directly related Computer Science work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree, in addition to the eight years of demonstrable software integration experience.
Relevant experience must demonstrate software integration, installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance evaluation, and operational sustainment in comparable technical environments.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and optimize automated software deployment and configuration management solutions for HPC environments.
Coordinate complex software configuration changes, upgrades, and production releases while maintaining platform reliability, security, and performance.
Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and sustain COTS/GOTS software across heterogeneous operating system environments.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning, software deployment, and configuration management.
Develop custom Python-based Ansible modules for specialized integration and operational requirements.
Deploy, configure, and support containerized applications and services using Docker, containerd, and Podman.
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Helm charts for application deployments in Kubernetes environments.
Apply DevOps and GitOps methodologies to improve software delivery consistency, traceability, and operational efficiency.
Create and manage software release candidates, support delivery pipelines, and resolve deployment, integration, and release issues.
Use Git for source control, branching, tagging, version management, and collaborative development.
Lead Tier 3 escalation for complex software integration, deployment, and infrastructure incidents.
Collaborate with O&M teams to investigate system failures, diagnose infrastructure issues, and implement remediation strategies.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop automated solutions to prevent recurring incidents.
Execute software testing and performance characterization to validate functionality, compatibility, and operational requirements.
Provide software product ownership and sustainment support for HPC tools and associated applications.
Maintain technical documentation, including installation and deployment procedures, troubleshooting runbooks, and architectural configurations.
Use configuration management tools, web-based documentation, and issue-tracking systems to support integration and operational maintenance.
Collaborate with developers, system administrators, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders on deployment and integration requirements.
Evaluate automation and deployment processes and recommend improvements to stability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Adapt to changing mission priorities, architectural approaches, and fast-paced technical environments.
