About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Senior Manager to work as part of a team to help solve complex business issues from strategy to execution, including SDLC and Project Management strategy (i.e., waterfall, Kanban/Agile and Change Management). The role involves managing technology development and deliverables by leading a team of engineers focused on Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and full-stack and automation test engineers. Collaboration with product owners and managers is key to delivering robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful user experiences. The position also requires engaging and collaborating across agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement robust solutions, and addressing day-to-day operations for the Salesforce platform, including change/release management, DevOps (CI/CD), operational readiness, and production administration and incident resolution. Budget management, including estimating resourcing and costs, and supporting business cases and high-level program plans, is also a responsibility. The role involves leading both off-shore and on-shore, local and remote team members focused on all aspects of the Salesforce platform to drive innovation, quality, and customer excellence. Measuring, monitoring, and ensuring the health of production systems, as well as ensuring healthcare information security best practice controls are in place and adhere to HIPAA utilizing a common control framework (i.e., NIST, HITRUST CSF), are critical. Support for off-hour releases is also required. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience. Will accept 3- or 4-year degree.
  • Experience using agile methodologies using Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience reviewing new business requirements and recommending technology solutions and architecture design
  • Experience developing APIs, data models, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams
  • Experience using SQL
  • Experience using Cloud/VM infrastructure and technologies

  • Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor workloads of team while meeting client expectations and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.
