About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Senior Advisor in Denver, Colorado. The role provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff on all phases of application programming and processes across diverse development platforms and computing environments, including host-based systems, distributed systems, client-server environments, and related software, hardware, technologies, and tools. The position provides leadership on complex engineering assignments and projects and serves as principal designer for major systems and subsystems. The advisor collaborates with clients and IT teams to identify application development solutions, assess opportunities to reuse existing code, research alternatives, and recommend efficient, cost-effective approaches. Responsibilities also include documenting, testing, implementing, and supporting applications, serving as a subject matter expert, and coding programs when needed. The expected annual salary is listed as $130,200–$217,000, depending on relevant factors; another salary range in the posting is $171,454–$217,000. The role is anticipated to be eligible for an annual bonus plan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or in a related occupation.
At least 5 years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically Provider Data management.
Experience gathering functional requirements and designing and developing ETL solutions.
Experience partnering with Architecture and Business to identify target solutions and integration patterns.
Experience developing ETL mappings and SQL scripts and overseeing code deployment across multiple environments.
Experience carrying out proofs of concept for application development.
Experience identifying business gaps and suggesting changes.
Experience developing BI reports according to business needs.
Experience creating techno-functional requirement documents.
Experience providing application maintenance support after go-live and resolving production issues.
Experience designing dimensional models to support automated reports.
Experience using SQL, HTML, Python, Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, SSRS, and Agile methodology.

Responsibilities
