About The Position

Yext is hiring a Software Engineering Manager for its Knowledge Graph team within Product Engineering. The team builds and maintains systems that turn customer information into a connected, usable source of truth, including core infrastructure, APIs, and workflows for modeling, managing, and connecting knowledge across products and experiences. The work includes representing complex entities, processing large volumes of changing data, building reliable distributed systems, and creating interfaces that other teams can use confidently. The manager will lead and develop software engineers, partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction, and translate priorities into achievable plans. The role is based in Yext’s New York City office in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, with in-person collaboration at least three days per week. Employees have flexibility in choosing in-office days and handling personal needs while supporting team collaboration. The team works in an agile environment with two-week sprints and regular demos. The manager is expected to maintain technical understanding of the team’s systems; guide architecture, design, implementation, and technical tradeoffs; foster engineering quality and operational readiness; lead production incident response and follow-up; and promote responsible, effective use of AI-assisted development tools. The position also involves cross-functional coordination, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and improving team processes. The annual base pay range is $148,500–$303,500 USD. Yext states that eligible employees typically receive benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for variable pay programs based on performance.
