About The Position

CACI is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in support of the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will lead and grow a team of software engineers, test engineers, and product owners in support of our various mission and non-mission systems in support of the Satellite Control Network (SCN), as well as act as the Scrum Master. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving technical excellence, fostering team development, and delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives. This position requires a proven track record of managing software engineering teams, balancing technical and business priorities, and creating an environment where engineers thrive.

Requirements

US Citizen with DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 3 + years experience or combination.
Experience working on a software development team as a developer, analyst, tester, or scripter
Experience with Agile Methodology
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice To Haves

Experience on DoD programs and interaction with government stakeholders - SCN experience is a plus
Scrum Master/Team Coach certification
Experience creating and managing software release schedules
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams, including coaching and mentoring team members
Experience using the following COTS tools: JIRA, Git, SharePoint, Fortify
Other Agile Certifications (software development oriented)

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a software sustainment team
Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
Manage performance reviews, goal setting, and career development plans
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Handle hiring, onboarding, and team capacity planning
Address performance issues and provide constructive guidance
