About The Position
This internship role focuses on applying technical expertise in the design and development of embedded firmware. Interns will prepare detailed plans, troubleshoot and debug software using various tools, provide process improvements, work with cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements, perform functional integration testing, and conduct software design reviews.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
- Zero (0) years of related experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer, Software, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and job experience in the design and development of embedded firmware
- Prepare detailed plans, generally spanning several weeks to months, necessary to complete assignments.
- Troubleshoot and debug the Software using unit tests, Emulators, Simulators, IDE, and bench testing
- Provide process improvements & recommendations
- Work with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements
- Perform functional integration testing prior to hand-off to the test & evaluation team
- Conduct software design reviews on assigned projects
