About The Position

This is a part-time, remote internship role focused on software engineering within the Studio Engineering Product Delivery department. The intern will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices and reusable components, primarily using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS/NextJS. The role involves working with cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform and ensuring code quality through automated testing. Collaboration with senior engineers and DevOps teams is a key aspect of the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent bootcamp/practical experience).
• Foundational proficiency in core Java programming, Spring Boot, ReactJS/NextJS.
• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to power high-performance healthcare platforms.
• Build reusable components using ReactJS/NextJS.
• Assist with deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform using modern containerization tools.
• Write automated unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality standards and support continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and DevOps teams to troubleshoot backend performance and accelerate software delivery.
