About The Position

Hive Financial Systems is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to help build and modernize the platform behind its consumer lending products. The platform includes services, APIs, data, and applications used by borrowers and internal teams. The intern will join a product team rebuilding the platform and contribute production code alongside engineers, product managers, QA, and data specialists, with guidance from a mentor throughout the summer. The internship is based in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia, and runs from May 17 through July 30, 2027. The work focuses primarily on C#/.NET services and APIs, testing, modernizing legacy systems, and supporting a cloud-native platform. The intern will work in short development cycles with code reviews, automated build pipelines, and feature flags, and will collaborate with product, QA, data, and compliance partners in a regulated lending environment. The internship offers production experience on a platform used by consumers and internal teams, exposure to C#/.NET, SQL, REST/GraphQL APIs, containers, and Microsoft Azure, and experience with test-driven development, CI/CD, and cloud deployment. Interns will also learn about security, data privacy, audit requirements, and the end-to-end fintech lending process, and will complete a portfolio-ready project demonstrating their contributions.
