About The Position

Innovative Systems/FinScan®, a leading global provider of data management and on-premise risk and SaaS compliance solutions, is seeking exceptional Computer Science or related technical majors who are creative and passionate about software design and development. Interns will have the opportunity to push the limits of their technical knowledge and analytic abilities as they work on challenging real-world problems within the Software Development group. This team develops Innovative’s world-class software products used by enterprises globally. This is a highly competitive, paid internship/co-op position for the Summer 2027 (May - August) term, based at their world headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. The role is hybrid, with a mix of in-office (2 days/week) and remote (3 days/week) work. This is a 40-hour per week role. Applicants available for both Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 terms are encouraged to apply to both opportunities. Applicants will be contacted starting in October.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate work completed by the start of the Internship/Co-op.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science or related technical major.
• Knowledge in and passion for learning software and web development, design, and implementation.
• Highly motivated with a focus on quality.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent research skills.
• Ability to work effectively alone or collaboratively.
• Must be available for the Summer 2027 (May - August) term.

Nice To Haves

• Coding experience with one or more of C, SQL, .NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Experience with various operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Program applications and/or components, with the level based on skill, knowledge, and prior experience.
• Research new technologies, development tools, or technical problems.
• Work independently and collaboratively to implement assigned projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
