About The Position

Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer for the Microsoft Specialized Clouds Power Platform team. The role focuses on building, deploying, and operating Power Automate services in air-gapped and sovereign cloud environments. The position combines software engineering and site reliability engineering, working on distributed systems that enable Power Platform services to run in isolated environments and partnering with Public Cloud teams to bring features to parity while meeting the constraints of sovereign deployments. The engineer is expected to take ownership of design, implementation, live-site operations, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes security, compliance, reliability, operational excellence, automation, observability, and continuous learning. The team also uses approved AI-assisted tools and Microsoft Copilot responsibly to support investigations, improve code quality, and reduce repetitive work. Candidates must hold an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with Polygraph, meet applicable Microsoft, customer, and government screening requirements, pass the Microsoft Cloud background check, and verify U.S. citizenship. The typical U.S. base pay range is $102,100–$202,200 per year, with a separate range of $133,800–$219,200 for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
