Software Engineering Asc Manager (Spacecraft Test Systems)

Lockheed MartinLittleton, CO
Onsite

About The Position

As part of the Engineering and Technology Raptor Avionics Organization at Lockheed Martin Space, this role leads a team responsible for the development of software products that enable spacecraft subsystem integration, verification, and mission success. The team develops software tools used to operate, control, automate, and collect data from Special Test Equipment (STE), and hardware used in spacecraft and ground test environments. As a Software Engineering Associate Manager, you will provide both technical and people leadership across multiple efforts, ensuring alignment to program cost, schedule, and technical objectives while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering team. This role requires close coordination across systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test organizations to ensure successful hardware execution. You will lead a team responsible for the design, development, integration, and sustainment of software supporting spacecraft and measurement systems. You will oversee Agile development execution to ensure delivery of reliable software that enable automated testing, data acquisition, and system control. You will provide technical guidance in software architecture, development, integration, and verification, and support resolution of complex software and hardware issues involving test equipment and instrumentation. You will also be responsible for staffing, work assignment, and performance management, while mentoring engineers and supporting their technical and career development. In addition, you will collaborate across functional teams, communicate status and risks to leadership, and support successful hardware integration and test execution.
