About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Advisor responsible for creating detailed specifications and designs, conducting assurance reviews of peer application programming, and acting as a technical resource for team members with less experience. This role involves ensuring the quality and timeliness of product development, technical design, and solution implementation. The advisor will coordinate with offshore vendors and internal team members, partner with stakeholders like Business, finance operations, and TPOs to gather requirements, conduct analysis, design, develop, and enhance customized applications. They will build batch and on-line adjustment claim systems, partner with QA teams to resolve design deficiencies, and troubleshoot, maintain, and develop application and system solutions for business-mandated products and operational processes. The role also includes performing impact analysis, modifying existing applications, providing support and training, interacting with QA testers to differentiate defects, performing root cause analysis in test/quality environments, and conducting stress test analysis to report deviations or malfunctions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and timeliness of product development, technical design and solution implementation as a development team member.
  • Coordinate with offshore vendors and HIH team members and partner with other stakeholders (Business, finance operations and TPOs) to gather requirements, conduct analysis, design, develop, and enhance customized applications.
  • Create technical designs and solutions that deliver quality solutions for our clients and businesses.
  • Build batch and on-line adjustment claim system.
  • Partner with QA teams to resolve solution design deficiencies and related deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and develop application and system solutions for business mandated products and regular operational processes.
  • Perform impact analysis to resolve user queries as necessary. Modify existing applications, implementing, and providing support and training stakeholders as necessary.
  • Interact with QA testers to provide necessary information to differentiate defects and set up issues in end-to-end testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify the cause of issues in the Test/ Quality environment during SIT and Quality test and assist in fixing the defects.
  • Perform stress test analysis and report any deviation or malfunction of any product within software release to achieve the project mission in product development.
