About The Position

Fiserv is hiring for its Cloud Engineering team to shape and deliver cloud provisioning, continuous integration, and automated application lifecycle capabilities across microservices and monolith systems. The role owns automation components from initial code through production and develops self-healing, auto-scaling infrastructure using Cloud Native Computing Foundation standards. It also involves advancing developer velocity, mentoring engineering peers, and supporting resilient operations across the platform. The position automates cloud infrastructure and application delivery across cloud platforms, builds secure CI/CD pipelines, implements self-service and disaster recovery capabilities, and orchestrates containerized applications. The engineer also standardizes infrastructure modules, routing, and service mesh patterns for Internal Developer Platforms, while leading Agile engineering practices and mentoring team members.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, cloud automation engineering, or DevOps/platform engineering roles.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on development experience using Python or Go for system automation and tooling.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and managing infrastructure on public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform and configuration management tools.
  • At least 2 years of production experience with Kubernetes or HashiCorp Nomad, GitOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • At least 2 years of experience with core networking constructs, HashiCorp Vault secrets management, and API design standards.
  • At least 2 years of experience participating in production on-call operations, incident management, and post-incident reviews.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with workflow orchestration systems such as Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.
  • Experience configuring high-performance reverse proxies and traffic management tools such as HAProxy.

Responsibilities

  • Automate end-to-end cloud infrastructure provisioning using Python, Go, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Build scalable CI/CD pipelines with policy enforcement, secrets management, zero-trust controls, and container security scans.
  • Implement self-healing infrastructure, self-service developer environments, and automated disaster recovery across cloud platforms.
  • Orchestrate containerized applications using production Kubernetes or HashiCorp Nomad clusters to support high availability.
  • Standardize infrastructure modules, reverse proxy routing, and service mesh patterns for Internal Developer Platforms.
  • Lead Agile engineering practices, technical grooming, and sprint planning to translate business priorities into technical execution.
