About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Advisor for the St. Louis, MO location to improve application quality, reliability, and increase productivity by implementing tools and standard processes. This role involves serving as the technology go-to person for technical questions, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring quality through adherence to development patterns and standards. The advisor will also design and build prototypes, prepare deployment and post-deployment plans, and interact with architects, technical project managers, and developers to ensure application solutions meet customer needs. Additionally, the role includes defining requirements, conceptualizing solutions, and creating process flows and diagrams to support the requirements gathering process. The position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • 3 years of experience
  • Experience acting as a Software Engineering Team Lead
  • Experience with SDLC including architecture, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and production support
  • Experience building responsive web applications using React.js
  • Experience with React Hooks
  • Experience with Component life cycle management using both Context API and Redux State Management
  • Experience with JSX
  • Experience with Modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience with CSS
  • Experience with Responsive UI development
  • Experience with Material UI component library
  • Experience with Frontend testing using both React Testing Library and Snapshot testing
  • Experience with accessibility testing
  • Experience with Modern web accessibility practices
  • Experience designing and developing RestfulAPIs using both Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Integration testing with Junit
  • Experience designing and maintaining application data stores using both PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS cloud environments
  • Experience integrating applications with enterprise platforms including both LaunchDarkly for feature flag management and Okta for identity and access management
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving production issues both Splunk and Dynatrace
  • Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working at home occasionally or permanently
