About The Position

As a Software Engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop software and systems from initial vision through production readiness in a fast, agile environment. You will use current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to help clients address difficult challenges, identify system improvements, and develop solutions that account for the existing architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. The position requires a Top Secret clearance. Candidates must complete a required skills assessment and meet its minimum proficiency threshold to continue in the hiring process.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Java or JEE.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
• Experience with API development, including REST architectural style.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
• Top Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of the start date.
• Complete the required skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold to continue in the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with non-relational databases, including MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as Security+ or CISSP.
