About The Position

Foundation AI is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high-quality software solutions. The engineer will contribute to product teams across the full stack, delivering impactful features and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software. The role calls for strong coding fundamentals, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Responsibilities may be tailored to the candidate’s experience and proficiency.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably full-stack.
• Proficiency in Python (Flask/FastAPI) and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or relational databases and hands-on experience with RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as ELK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic.
• Understanding of modular and scalable system design; ability to apply OOP and design patterns; familiarity with distributed-system concepts.
• Ability to implement unit and integration tests, follow TDD/BDD, and ensure code quality.
• Ability to debug moderately complex systems, optimize performance, and evaluate trade-offs.
• A B.Tech degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Celery and asynchronous task processing.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Airflow.
• Familiarity with frontend security practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
• Ability to read LLD/HLD documentation.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using the company’s technology stack.
• Work with peers and cross-functional teams to build and deliver features end-to-end.
• Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and follow clean-code practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and QA to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to deployment pipelines and help maintain a reliable delivery process.
• Investigate and resolve issues and bugs in production and staging environments.
• Maintain documentation for features, services, and key technical decisions.
