Software Engineer (HYBRID)
About The Position
Infinity is seeking Software Engineers for the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, with operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR) and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). These ground-based radars support US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and follows a hybrid work schedule with some work-from-home days. The Software Engineer is responsible for code development and deployment for software version releases that modify the software baseline of BMEWS/PAVE PAWS ground-based radar sensors. The role designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs application software; supports complex system integration and testing; and works with subject matter experts and engineers to plan, develop, sustain, and troubleshoot operational and test systems. The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, although on-call, evening, and weekend support may be required during system anomalies or mission requirements. The work requires the ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods. US citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Secret clearance.
- US citizenship.
- Experience with C++/C, Java, Python, and FORTRAN.
- Experience with real-time embedded software for ground-based radar.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
Nice To Haves
- Experience sustaining Ground-Based Radar (GBR) systems or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems, such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) mission and associated enterprise.
- Experience leading agile software development teams.
- Experience as a Scrum Master and Product Owner.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy code for software version releases that modify the software baseline of BMEWS/PAVE PAWS ground-based radar sensors.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug application software.
- Analyze and collaborate with subject matter experts on planning, design, development, and use of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
- Support system integration, testing, development, and execution of complex systems.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems using ingenuity and creativity.
- Troubleshoot systems to resolve complex issues and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining operational and test systems.
