About The Position
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating advanced AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. This role requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives. The team leads modernization efforts within the SAMs Replenishment area by delivering scalable and maintainable software solutions through collaborative engineering and a product-focused approach. Emphasizing iterative development, rigorous code review, and continuous integration, members apply strong technical skills in platform design and development. The group integrates advanced technologies, including generative AI, to drive innovation. Team members collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and system performance. Requirements
- 6 years of experience with developing and supporting complex systems using Java/JEE, Spring, Spark, Databases: Relational (Azure SQL, Postgres), Cloud: Azure/GCP Cloud Platform, Airflow DAGs, micro-services architectures, event-based architecture (Kafka), Kubernetes, Docker), Big query database
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong experience delivering scoped features and managing full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development methodologies.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
