Utilizing advanced technologies, including Generative AI, the team enhances automation, risk mitigation, and adaptive security frameworks. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software development using Java and related languages.
  • Strong experience in delivering scoped features through iterative development and continuous integration practices.
  • Proficiency in code review, debugging, and automated testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with platform and business objectives.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
  • Demonstrated technical judgment and problem-solving skills in complex software environments.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of scoped features and models by partnering with cross-functional engineering teams through implementation, iteration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Develop clean, efficient, scalable, and reliable code using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, and Python, while contributing across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into software solutions and leverage generative AI tools to enhance productivity, automation, and development velocity.
  • Translate high-level architectural designs and business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performance technical solutions aligned with platform objectives.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and defect resolution to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements, prioritize work, and measure solution success.
  • Monitor application health and performance, supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and continuous deployment practices.
