About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. This role involves processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results, and resolving software problem reports. The position requires utilizing appropriate software development and design methodologies and providing specific input to software component system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS utilization, and requirements analysis.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (last polygraph must be within the last five (05) years)
  • At least seven (07) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
  • Work individually or as part of a team.
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
  • Resolves software problem reports.
  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradc-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
