About The Position

Twilio is hiring a Software Engineer (L3) for Twilio SendGrid. This hands-on engineering role focuses on developing, deploying, and managing highly available, large-scale distributed systems. The services process more than 12 billion emails during peak events, and the engineer will help scale and modernize backend systems, optimize Go-based microservices, and contribute to the reliability of infrastructure spanning Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The role is remote, though occasional in-person team, project, or customer meetings may be required. Hiring is not available in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington. Occasional travel may be required. Twilio describes its culture as remote-first and globally inclusive. Twilio offers competitive pay, generous time off, parental and wellness leave, healthcare, and a retirement savings program. Depending on location, this role may also be eligible for Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. Applications are intended to be accepted until December 31, 2026, though this may change based on business needs.
