Software Engineer | Aerospace & Defense

Texas Instruments•Dallas, TX

About The Position

Texas Instruments (TI) Software Engineers develop embedded software and related software development tools that support the company’s whole-product offerings. They partner with product development and demand creation teams on pre-silicon software design and requirements, software validation and testing, and compatibility and reuse. The role may also involve working directly with customers to resolve issues and provide ongoing support, regular software releases, quality assurance, and release management. For the Aerospace & Defense position, the work includes developing embedded software and tools, applying machine learning algorithms to edge applications, supporting pre-silicon design and validation, and informing hardware architecture from software usage, compatibility, performance, and reuse perspectives. Engineers collaborate with TI teams and customers throughout the software lifecycle and create and maintain customer collateral for software products and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering or research experience.
  • Strong embedded firmware skills and experience, including programming knowledge in C/C++ or other systems programming languages.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python with signal-processing applications, including strong assembly programming skills.
  • U.S. citizenship; U.S. citizens are the only individuals eligible for a security clearance.
