About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions through collaborative engineering teams. This role involves managing the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of services, APIs, and AI/ML components. The successful candidate will apply strong technical judgment, drive continuous improvement, and engage cross-functional stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives. Emphasis is placed on innovation, quality, and operational excellence to enhance platform capabilities and customer experience within a dynamic environment. Sponsorship not available. The Adtech QE and Tools team develops and maintains robust test frameworks supporting applications for 1P Sellers and 3P Suppliers. They build reusable code to manage deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, security, and alerting across test and production environments. Utilizing cloud-native architecture and model-driven design, the team delivers scalable, reliable solutions aligned with platform evolution. Collaborating across functions, members drive technical excellence, continuous improvement, and uphold quality standards, enabling efficient software development lifecycles and supporting Walmart’s commitment to innovation and operational success.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
  • Experience managing full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and technical ownership.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field

Responsibilities
