About The Position
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support. You will apply advanced programming skills and technical judgment to design and develop robust systems, integrating AI/ML components to enhance functionality. Requirements
- Proven experience in building full stack applications using Typescript, NextJs, React, GraphQL, NodeJS and API development.
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong experience delivering scoped features and managing full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development to ensure high-quality software.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform and business objectives.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Demonstrated technical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities
- Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
- Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform standards.
- Engage stakeholders to translate complex problems into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance and ensure adherence to project milestones through proactive DevOps practices.
- Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical mentorship within the team.
