In this role, you will: Collaborate with experienced engineers, architects, and business partners to design and build AI-powered features that improve underwriting, pricing, and agent experiences. Develop, test, and deploy production-quality services and APIs that integrate machine learning models into our current commercial lines technology platforms. Work with real-world insurance data, using tools like Java, Python, modern frameworks, and DevSecOps practices to turn ideas into scalable capabilities. As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
  • One or more years of technology experience.
  • Proficiency of at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
  • Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
  • Adopts continuous improvement and learning.
  • Handles project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
