Mid-Level Software Engineer (.NET/Angular)
About The Position
Pioneering Evolution is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer (.NET/Angular) to join their team. The role involves taking features from concept to production, contributing to the development of a Mission Operating System (Mission OS) called SyncCore™ and its modular application ecosystem, SyncPoint™. This is a genuine distributed-systems work with a federated architecture, event-driven integration, and real multi-tenancy. The engineer will own meaningful pieces of the platform or a SyncPoint module from design through production, working alongside senior engineers and architects, and bringing ideas to the table to make engineering decisions and own technical outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to work on capabilities such as identity, integration, eventing, shared services, data architecture, auditability, and platform APIs, or to translate complex real-world mission and business problems into software. The stack includes C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, CQRS-lite, PostgreSQL with Entity Framework Core, RabbitMQ, Angular 19, TypeScript, Docker, CI/CD, Azure Government, xUnit, and micro-frontends.
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong professional experience with C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core.
- The ability to independently build REST APIs, backend services, and real business logic.
- Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM, and the judgment to know when to drop to SQL instead.
- Strong relational database fundamentals. Ability to read a query plan without flinching.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests as a habit.
- Working experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web applications.
- The ability to deliver a complete, production-ready feature end to end.
- Backend .NET depth matters more than an exact full-stack match.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility for an interim Secret clearance (if not already active).

Responsibilities
- Own meaningful pieces of the platform or a SyncPoint module from design through production.
- Build an API, design an event-driven workflow, work through data-modeling problems, or take a feature from an Angular interface through the application and data layers.
- Bring ideas to the table, challenge assumptions, make engineering decisions, and increasingly own the technical outcome.
- Work on capabilities such as identity, integration, eventing, shared services, data architecture, auditability, and platform APIs (on the platform side).
- Translate complex real-world mission and business problems into software people actually depend on to do their jobs (on a module team).
