About The Position

Glean is hiring a Software Engineer intern to help design, develop, and maintain software solutions that power its products and services. The intern will own a scoped, high-impact project end to end, from defining the problem and writing a design through building, testing, launching, and measuring outcomes. They will ship reliable, well-tested, maintainable production-quality code, with thoughtful code reviews and iterative feedback.

The intern will learn quickly and contribute across the stack according to their interests, including backend services, product engineering, ML/AI/search, infrastructure, and security. The role involves close collaboration with people within and beyond the intern’s team. It is hybrid, with four days a week in Glean’s Mountain View or San Francisco office.

Requirements

• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent program.
• Strong foundation in computer science and software development fundamentals.
• Prior internship experience in one or more relevant areas, such as backend, infrastructure, security, UI/full-stack, or ML/NLP/search.
• Be a team player with a strong desire to learn and an owner mentality.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Have interest in backend, infrastructure, security, UI/full-stack, or ML/NLP/search.
