About The Position

PTC is hiring software engineering interns for multiple teams within Onshape, its cloud-native Software-as-a-Service product development platform combining computer-aided design, data management, and collaboration tools. The 10-week US Summer Internship Program offers hands-on work on high-visibility, high-impact projects. Specific projects and responsibilities vary by team, and may focus on user-facing functionality, infrastructure, or performance improvements. Interns collaborate with developers and cross-functional partners to support and enhance Onshape.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++; specific language requirements may vary by team.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work within a large codebase.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship from PTC.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with geometric computation is a plus for certain teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Onshape through hands-on software engineering projects.
• Develop and improve software features and functionality within Onshape.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to design and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs in new and existing code.
