About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to work from our Sunnyvale, CA location. This role is within the System Integration Database group and will entail working to maintain legacy software, administration of development, test, and production environments, and supporting development and test teams for next generation software. The role will also support the verification and validation of production data. This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science and Computer Engineering studies or other related discipline from an accredited college/university. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Skills to troubleshoot issues with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to interpret requirements and implement them.
  • Programming experience required.
  • An active secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Primary interface with project leads and System Engineers for software architecture decisions.
  • Perform software engineering lifecycle requirements following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include: Requirements analysis, Object oriented analysis & design (OOD), Code & unit test, integration, Support to formal test and delivery.
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits of software products.
  • Utilize Model Based Design approaches.
  • Support development of complex system internal and external interfaces.
  • Maintain legacy software.
  • Administration of development, test, and production environments.
  • Support development and test teams for next generation software.
  • Support the verification and validation of production data.
