About The Position

WR has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to formulate and design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcomes and consequences of design decisions. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments, interfaces with other systems, internal and external controls, and system outputs. Analyze and estimate the feasibility, cost, schedule, and hardware/software compatibility of proposed solutions. Develop software applications using one or more programming languages in Unix, Windows, Linux, and/or MS-DOS environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • One (1) year of professional software development experience using one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, SQL, ORM technologies, containerization technologies, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with technologies such as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Python, RHEL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Docker, or similar development tools and frameworks.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of full-time professional experience supporting networked computer systems, system administration, or cybersecurity.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense Information Assurance (IA) standards, policies, procedures, and security requirements.
  • Working knowledge of DoD IAT Level I and/or IAT Level II requirements.
