About The Position

As a Software Engineering evaluator, you will create datasets for training, benchmarking, and advancing large language models in collaboration with researchers. The work includes curating code examples, providing solutions, correcting code, and evaluating and refining AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will also work with cross-functional teams to improve enterprise-level AI-driven coding solutions. The engagement is flexible, requiring 10 to 40 hours per week and partial overlap with Pacific Time. It is a one-month contractor role, starting next week, with possible extensions based on performance and fit. Candidates must be based in the United States, Canada, or the specified Western European countries (United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, or Germany). Applicants will complete an AI video interview and, after applying, receive a login link to complete their profile in the portal.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in building full-stack applications and deploying scalable, production-grade software using modern languages and tools.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design, development, debugging, and code quality and review assessment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for providing clear, structured evaluation rationales.
  • Must be based in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, or Germany.
  • Able to work 10–40 hours per week with partial Pacific Time overlap.

Responsibilities

  • Curate code examples, build solutions, and correct code in Python, JavaScript (including ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go for AI model training initiatives.
  • Evaluate and refine AI-generated code to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI-driven coding solutions against industry performance benchmarks.
  • Build agents that verify code quality and identify error patterns.
  • Form hypotheses about stages of the software engineering cycle and evaluate model capabilities across them, including prototyping, architecture design, API design, production implementation, launch, experiments, monitoring, and operational maintenance.
  • Design verification mechanisms that can automatically verify solutions to software engineering tasks.
