About The Position

The Software Engineer will be responsible for delivering content into mainline software using GIT. This role involves extracting copy and text strings from specifications, Axure, and Sketch files using automated tools, and supporting Translation Memory tool development. The engineer will create specifications for localization guidelines and establish specifications for changes to the Translation Memory and Strings Management System. Additionally, the role includes conducting design reviews with User Interface Design to prevent localization issues, identifying root cause defects in error tracking systems, and working with external development teams, suppliers, and third-party translation houses. Quality analysis on translated strings using translation quality assurance tools will also be performed. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the expectation to report to the local office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • Two (2) years of experience as an IT Consultant, Software Consultant, and Software Developer.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Change management systems, including IBM Rational Team Concert and JIRA.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Agile software development.
  • Two (2) years of experience with the Android platform and development.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with Software teams.
  • Two (2) years of experience with GIT version control handling rebases, merges, and handling merge conflicts.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Localization.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Programming languages including C#, Windows Applications, and SQL PostGRE.
