About The Position

The Software Engineer is a key contributor to the engineering team, supporting software development, maintenance, testing, and product enhancement activities. This role increases development capacity, helps accelerate product delivery, and serves as a foundation for developing future technical leaders within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 0 years is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Basic knowledge of programming concepts and languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar), with the ability to work from detailed specifications.
  • Understanding of software testing processes, including test case review, test witnessing, and certification.
  • Knowledge of DevOps culture, practices and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of managing and maintaining third-party application installations and configurations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve fundamental software or system issues.
  • Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes test-driven development and design techniques to implement unit tests for assigned feature areas or software components.
  • Assists product owners with establishing clearly defined requirements and developing user stories.
  • Assists product owners with composing technical details for statements of work.
  • Recognizes classes of problems and derive solutions.
  • Contributes to the formation of engineering standards and software development best practices.
