About The Position

Join Cisco’s Splunk Integrated Core Platform team to build and maintain critical authorization infrastructure for Splunk’s enterprise observability and security platform. The Authorization team develops scalable, high-performance systems that manage access and establish trust across services, applications, and enterprise environments, including role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC). As a Software Engineer, you will build and maintain backend services that support secure, reliable access across complex enterprise environments. You will implement technical solutions, translate designs into maintainable code, investigate production issues, improve performance and reliability, and contribute to modernization of established services and distributed infrastructure. You will collaborate with other engineering teams and participate in operational support and on-call rotations after onboarding. This is a remote U.S. role, with a strong location preference for areas other than CA, WA, DC, MD, NJ, NY, CT, MA, VA, and AK. Work is performed in U.S. Government classified environments. The successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, and the posting states that the work can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. A current U.S. Government TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance is required. The application window is expected to close on 10/30/2026.
