About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to execute software solutions, design, develop, and provide technical troubleshooting to build solutions and break down technical problems. The role involves developing secure, high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of software applications and systems. The engineer will lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Additionally, the role involves leading communities of practice across software engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Java Developer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant/Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Full-stack software development using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring modules including REST, MVC, JPA, and Batch.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Front-end development using React.js or Angular.
  • Five (5) years of experience applying object-oriented programming principles such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism in the software development life cycle of enterprise applications.
  • Five (5) years of experience applying design patterns including Singleton, Factory, and Observer in the design and implementation of enterprise software solutions.
  • Five (5) years of experience designing software architecture using microservices, monolithic, and service-oriented approaches.
  • Five (5) years of experience designing and analyzing algorithms for time and space complexity.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing data by implementing data structures including arrays, linked lists, trees, and graphs.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing version control using Git for branching, merging, and repository management.
  • Five (5) years of experience driving software quality and stability through unit tests, integration tests, user acceptance tests, resiliency tests, and test-driven development.
  • Five (5) years of experience delivering software using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, application resilience, and security.
  • Five (5) years of experience executing software development lifecycle phases for application design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Five (5) years of experience following software security practices using secure coding techniques and vulnerability assessment.
  • Five (5) years of experience optimizing software performance using profiling, benchmarking, and refactoring.
  • Two (2) years of experience configuring cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform for pipeline deployments.
  • Two (2) years of experience developing software using Python.
