About The Position

This role involves executing software solutions, encompassing design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems. The engineer will create secure and high-quality software and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Responsibilities include producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. The role also requires gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and developing visualizations and reports from large, diverse datasets to continuously improve software applications and systems. Identifying hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture is key. The engineer will contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies, and independently design functionality problems with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technologies, Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Applications Programmer Developer, or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technologies, Engineering or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Applications Programmer Developer, or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience with delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using Java Programming language and Test Automation frameworks.
  • Three (3) years of experience utilizing Java programming language and test automation frameworks for Java programming to code, developing software, and Automation testing to test the developed software.
  • Three (3) years of experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Three (3) years of experience determining solutions for complex technology problems.
  • Three (3) years of experience presenting and effectively communicating test automation strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Two (2) years of experience using observability and monitoring tools and techniques including Dynatrace, Graphana, Datadog, and Splunk.
  • One (1) year of experience utilizing AI in automating testing processes such as copilot.
  • One (1) year of experience using AWS cloud technologies and their integration into testing tools including copilot.

Responsibilities

  • Design functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
