We're looking for a software engineer who's productive in Rails, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by shipping real value quickly. You'll own features end-to-end within a core area of our payments dispute resolution platform, working alongside a small, experienced engineering team.

We move fast, and we want someone who uses every tool at their disposal to do the same — including AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code. If you're already using these to accelerate your work and are excited to push that further, we want to talk.

Requirements

• Productive in Rails
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Motivated by shipping real value quickly
• Solid Rails developer who can be productive quickly in an existing codebase
• Actively use AI coding tools to move faster and learn new systems
• Enjoy digging into complex technical issues and finding effective ways to solve them
• Spot things that could be better and take initiative to improve them
• Iterate quickly, learn from what ships, and adjust
• Welcome feedback and are committed to ongoing growth
• 3–5 (Intermediate) or 5-8 (senior) years of software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) in your workflow
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions without perfect information
• Located in Canada or US time zones

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fast-moving or startup environments is a plus
