As a Software Engineer within PNC’s C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Develops, tests and implements software solutions. Designs software solutions to address business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software. Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java , with hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST, and Microservices.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Experience designing and developing solutions using core Java, SQL (MySQL), and ActiveMQ, Kafka.
  • Hands-on expertise in authentication & authorization systems, API frameworks (REST) and persistence stores
  • Proficiency in database design and optimization, including both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Elastic-Search, Redis, and Golang is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning, application security, and scalability best practices.
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies, (SAFe preferred).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular is a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms (Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience using IntelliJ, Gradle, and writing JUnit test cases.
