About The Position
deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. The role supports Ground Missile Defense (GMD), a key element of the Missile Defense System and the nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize inbound ballistic missile threats, plans a defensive solution, and launches interceptors to negate the threat. The Software Engineer will support system-level integration testing by developing and executing test plans, interpreting requirements and test guidance, and creating testing criteria. The position also involves C++ development, Python, and Elasticsearch. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold an active Secret security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university.
- Experience with C++ development.
- Very strong Python background.
- Experience using Elasticsearch.
- Missile Defense domain knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.

- Experience using the Atlassian toolset.
- Experience with DOORS.
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Experience with Bitbucket.
- Security+ certification.
- GMD/MDA experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures for system-level integration testing.
