About The Position

Collier Aerospace is hiring an early-career Software Engineer to develop and maintain commercial and internal software products. The role focuses on HyperX®, a Windows .NET desktop application written in C# and used internationally. Projects may include full-stack desktop application development, machine learning and AI, advanced structural analysis, and work across HyperX’s WPF interface, 3D graphics, web development, and database. The engineer will collaborate with software and structural engineers and create tests to verify accuracy and software quality.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Background in computer science or software engineering and an interest in aerospace.
• Experience or capability with C# or similar object-oriented languages such as Java.
• Git.
• Windows desktop application development.
• Ability to learn new software applications and processes.
• Strong communication skills, including understanding project requirements, learning from senior developers, and iterating with QA and users to complete work to specification.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving ability.

Nice To Haves

• Postgres or SQLite.
• Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
• Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing functionality of HyperX® using C#.
• Work on projects involving areas of HyperX such as its WPF interface, 3D graphics, web development, and database.
• Collaborate with other software engineers and structural engineers who use the software.
• Create unit and integration tests for new capabilities to verify accuracy and ensure quality design.
