About The Position

Meta is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join Meta Business Agents, an organization building AI agents and messaging platforms that connect businesses with people through WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct. The team builds scaled messaging infrastructure, data and agentic platforms, and products for businesses ranging from single-person businesses to global enterprises. Its AI business agents are designed to handle tasks such as completing sales, booking appointments, and resolving support questions. The role contributes to work defining agentic commerce and building AI systems used by real businesses.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language, or 8+ years of experience with a PhD.
Experience influencing executive stakeholders across organizations through technical proposals, roadmap alignment, or strategic recommendations.
Experience using data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions.
Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
Proven track record of planning a multi-year roadmap in which short-term projects support the long-term mission.
Experience driving large cross-functional or industry-wide engineering efforts.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Understanding of information retrieval concepts, such as indexing, querying, and ranking.
Knowledge of NLP techniques, including text preprocessing, tokenization, and sentiment analysis.
Demonstrated experience with data structures and algorithms, including graph theory and optimization techniques.
Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
