About The Position

The Software Engineer will develop and implement technology solutions that enhance business operations across Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, Payroll, and Legal functions. Working closely with stakeholders, this role will gather business requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and design automation and AI-enabled solutions that increase efficiency and streamline workflows. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining automated business applications and integrations using a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. As a member of the Information Technology team, this position reports directly to the Software Engineering Manager and plays a key role in driving innovation, process optimization, and digital transformation across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development, business application development, or related technical roles.
  • Hands-on experience developing solutions within a Microsoft .NET environment, including C#, PowerShell, and related technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business requirements, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing applications and integrations using AI-assisted development tools, APIs, SQL Server, and related technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
  • Experience with full-stack web development technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; experience with Angular or similar modern front-end frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with Workday, including integrations, reporting, or business process configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with business users and stakeholders across Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, and other departments to understand business processes, gather requirements, identify pain points, and recommend technology solutions.
  • Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation, system integration, artificial intelligence, and process optimization.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom applications, scripts, APIs, integrations, reports, and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency and data accessibility.
  • Build and support integrations between enterprise systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party providers to implement and support technology initiatives.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, integration, and performance issues; provide ongoing support for existing systems and solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, system diagrams, development standards, and support procedures.
  • Ensure software solutions follow established coding standards, security protocols, data governance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in IT change management, release management, and quality assurance processes to ensure stable and reliable deployments.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, development frameworks, automation tools, and AI capabilities; recommend innovative solutions that support BRG's strategic objectives.
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect applications, integrations, and data across all system layers.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $120,000--$160,000
