About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program, a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. As a Software REP Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team focused on designing, developing, integrating, and testing software and firmware solutions for embedded and enterprise systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or computer science obtained between May 2026 and June 2027
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • Prior Co-Op or internship experience
  • Experience with embedded programming on hardware
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated initiative through academic projects, internships, or process improvements
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or engineering concepts
  • This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lab equipment for data collection and processing

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test software
  • Develop and maintain software and firmware test suites to verify system capabilities and requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance and support project development
  • Partner with systems engineering, and customer support teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues
  • Support design teams in bring-up and system-level validation of products
  • Contribute innovative ideas and state of the art thinking to improve business performance
  • Deliver leading edge, integrated solutions that meet customer needs
  • Participate in programs, projects, and initiatives aligned with Mercury's culture and strategy
  • Stay informed on industry trends and ensure Mercury's best practices are met or exceeded
  • Rotate through multiple technical disciplines to broaden skills and experience
