About The Position

You will be the Software Engineer, Modeling and Sim Developer for the LM Aero Simulation and System Lab (SSL) Team which is responsible for developing and supporting advanced simulation and test software for cutting‑edge aircraft programs. As the Software Engineer, Modeling and Sim Developer you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality simulation software that enables experimental, developmental and production aircraft testing.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Software, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
Proficient with software development in high order languages (like C++ or Java).
Experience with the Configuration Management and tools associated with large scale software projects
Knowledge of aircraft flight controls and automatic flight controls.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

Masters of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
Familiar with modeling and/or simulation
Knowledge of development of real time software execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate software models for airframe, aircraft systems, and avionics.
Write clean, maintainable code in C++, Java, or other high‑order languages.
Create and maintain documentation, test plans, and debugging procedures.
Collaborate with test engineers to validate models against experimental data.
Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation tools and processes.
