Requirements

4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or newer), with a deep understanding of the C++ standard library, object-oriented design, and memory management.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex, multi-threaded, or performance-critical software systems in C++.
2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, including code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentorship.
Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for scripting and tooling.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.
Clearance: Minimum Secret clearance is required to start.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks.

Nice To Haves

Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools.
Experience with CUDA
Experience with high-performance libraries.
Familiarity with C++ build systems like CMake.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Deep understanding of Linux development environments.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of our high-performance C++ application, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for critical components.
Guide the team's C++ architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, robustness, and adherence to modern C++ standards (e.g., C++17/20).
Mentor a team of software engineers through hands-on guidance, rigorous code reviews, and the promotion of best practices in software development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and technical deliverables.
Profile, debug, and resolve complex technical challenges in a multi-threaded, performance-sensitive environment.
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for software team members.
Champion continuous improvement in development workflows, tools, and team culture
